I’m Katie Rouse (she/her).

I am a freelance marketing manager, copywriter, writer, and author of Psalms of Deconstruction, a self-published poetry collection. I love music & books that get me in my feels, practicing yoga, plants my husband takes care of, and finding new gluten free foods.

As the poetry collection title suggests, I am a deconstructing person of faith. I grew up Southern Baptist, and followed that faith tradition throughout college all the way to the mission field in India, where the realities of organizational miscues and misinterpretations of scripture was the catalyst of my faith deconstruction, though I wouldn’t name it that for several more years. I am now a member of a progressive community of faith and am actively seeking ways to continue to break down anything I’ve built around Jesus, so that I can simply look him in the eye.
